The Winkler Flyers Junior Hockey Club is pleased to announce that Head Coach Mark Thiessen will be returning for his second full season behind the bench in that capacity after leading the Orange and Black to their first appearance in the Addison Division Final series since the 2001/2002 season.

Thiessen will once again be joined by Associate Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Ernie Sutherland.

Together they led the Flyers to a 4th place finish in the Addison Division with a regular season record of 33-23-2-4 in 2007/2008, but more importantly they orchestrated a game plan that helped the Flyers knock off the defending MJHL Champion Selkirk Steelers in five games in the Addison Division Semi-Final series.

Both Mark and Ernie are looking forward to welcoming back a solid core of veterans from last year's squad as well as a strong crop of rookies when Training Camp opens on August 30th.
