They say that good things come in small packages and the Orange and Black are hoping that holds true for Jimmy Carter (89), their most recent signing. The Victoria, BC native may only be 5'8", but that didn't stop him from from burning out goal lights both at the AAA Midget and Junior B levels, while gaining some Junior A experience in his home province over the past two seasons.
In 2006/2007 Carter tore up the British Columbia AAA Midget Hockey League with 57 goals and 56 assists for 113 points in just 55 games as a member of the Provincial Champion Juan de Fuca Grizzlies.
Then last season the skilled, speedy forward split time between the British Columbia Hockey League's Westside Warriors and Victoria Grizzlies and the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League's Victoria Cougars.
After compiling 12 points in 35 games between the Warriors and Grizzlies he joined the Cougars where he collected 13 goals and eight assists in 15 regular season contests, but he saved his best for the post-season as he led the league in playoff scoring with 14 goals and 10 assists in 15 games. Of those 14 goals, four came in the Cougars' League Championship clinching victory.
