Tyler Oswald made 35 saves and Jory Mullin had three points as the Winkler Flyers beat the Steinbach Pistons 4-2 in their final game of 2011. Playing their first game following the Christmas break, the Flyers finished strong with two goals in the third while out-shooting the Pistons 24-6 in the final period

The Winkler Flyers scored three goals in the third period to secure a 6-4 win over the visiting Winnipeg Blues. Tanner Jago and Kyle Manlow each scored a goal and added two assists as the Flyers moved to within six points of the Addison Division leading Blues with six games in hand.

FLYERS FINISH ROAD TRIP STRONG PICKING UP TWO BIG POINTS IN OCN - DECEMBER 10

Flyers goaltender Corey Koop was the difference as Winkler ended their five game road trip with a 3-1 win in OCN. Going toe-to-toe with OCN netmider Matt Krahn, Koop made many highlight reel saves on the 31 shots he faced.

ARGUE STONES FLYERS AS THEY CONTINUE FIVE GAME ROAD SWING - DECEMBER 9

Stampeders goaltender Jayson Argue kicked out 34 shots as Swan Valley shutout Winkler 3-0 on Friday night. The Flyers put out a much better effort than they did two nights earlier in Neepawa but could not get a shot past the reigning MJHL Player of the Week.

FLYERS STUMBLE IN NEEPAWA AND SEE TWO GAME WINNING STREAK END - DECEMBER 7

Neepawa goaltender Riley Feser made 44 saves as the Natives protected their home ice with an 8-3 win over the Winkler Flyers on Wednesday night. After wins in Portage and Dauphin to start their five game road swing, the Flyers stumbled in Neepawa losing their ninth game of the year.

WINKLER CHARGES BACK IN THIRD PERIOD TO BEAT THE KINGS - DECEMBER 3

Steve Sorensen scored 36 seconds into overtime as the Winkler Flyers erased a 3-1, third period deficit to beat the Dauphin Kings 4-3. The Flyers second win in a row moves them into a second place tie with the Portage Terriers with identical 21-8-1 records in the Addison Division.

FLYERS WIN OFFENSIVE BATTLE IN PORTAGE TO MOVE CLOSER TO FIRST - DECEMBER 1ST

Newcomer Ward Szucki wasted little time making an impact on his new team as he scored four goals in a 9-6 victory over the Portage Terriers on Thursday night. The win snapped the Flyers three game losing streak and pulled them to within two points of the second place Terriers and four points of the first place Winnipeg Blues in the Addison Division.
