FLYERS LOSE TO SAINTS BUT SHOW GREAT SIGNS OF POTENTIAL - NOVEMBER 29

The Winkler Flyers third period comeback fell just short as they lost 3-2 to the visiting Winnipeg Saints on Tuesday night dropping their third game in a row. After digging themselves a 3-0 hole in the first period, the Orange and Black dominated the Saints in the final two periods but could not solve Winnipeg goaltender Addison Herosian more than twice on 40 shots.

PEARSON MAKES TWO MAJOR TRADES WITH NEEPAWA AND HUMBOLDT - NOVEMBER 28

Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Ken Pearson made two major moves on Monday improving the offensive and defensive sides of the puck. Just days after picking up forward Anthony Nobili from Swan Valley, Pearson added two more forwards and a another defenseman that are expected to be large contributors.

FLYERS DROP THEIR SECOND IN A ROW IN STEINBACH - NOVEMBER 23

Pistons goaltender Zach Rakochy made 38 saves as the Winkler Flyers dropped a 3-2 decision in Steinbach on Wednesday night. The Pistons rallied for three straight goals in the second half of the game to erase a 2-0 first period Flyer lead. For the first time in 11 games the Flyers did not score a power-play goal.

DEFENSE BEATS OFFENSE AS BLIZZARD DOWN FLYERS IN CLOSE AFFAIR - NOVEMBER 20

The OCN Blizzard stingy defense held off the Winkler Flyers high octane offense in a 2-1 win on Sunday afternoon at the Winkler Recreation Complex, a night after beating the visiting Swan Valley Stampeders 11-4.

The Winkler Flyers had their best offensive game of the season as they beat the visiting Swan Valley Stampeders 11-4 on Saturday night in the first of two straight games at home. Winkler built up a 6-1 lead after 20 minutes and never looked back.

Carman native Ed Belfour earned hockey's highest honour on Monday night as he entered the Hockey Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Toronto. Earning a spot in the hall of fame is the ultimate recognition for the years of hard work and dedication to the game that began for Belfour many years ago.

Flyers defenseman Nate Jose scored the game winner with 2:38 to play in the third period as the Winkler Flyers edged the visiting Portage Terriers 6-4 on Saturday night. The Terriers erased the Flyers 4-1 lead after 40 minutes before Jose capped off his four point night with his third goal of the season to save the victory.

FLYERS WIN SECOND IN A ROW IN STEINBACH AS THEY CREEP CLOSER TO FIRST - NOVEMBER 11

The Orange and Black scored four times in the third period in a 7-4 win over the Steinbach Pistons on Friday afternoon. Carman native Brock Vanderveen scored three times for the Flyers who now move to within four points of first place in the Addison Division.

The Winkler Flyers have added some depth to their blueline. A day after announcing the addition of 18 year old Ben Micflikier, Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Ken Pearson has announced the addition of 19 year old defenseman Dallas Jorgensen.
