FLYERS ADD ANOTHER GOALTENDER IN SECOND DEAL OF THE DAY – OCTOBER 17

Winkler Flyers General Manager Ken Pearson swung another deal on Monday, acquiring goaltender Josh Williams (97) from the Bonnyville Pontiacs (AJHL) for future considerations. This trade was made just hours after the Flyers dealt goaltender Connor Slipp and forward Jason Cohan to the Swan Valley Stampeders.

Williams is a 6’0”, 175lbs goaltender from Calgary, Alberta who played the past two seasons in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Over the past two seasons, Williams has put up some impressive numbers. In 2015-2016, he sported an 8-0 record, 2.30 GAA and .907 SV% with both the Pontiacs and the Camrose Kodiaks. This season with Bonnyville, Williams has a 5-0 record, a 2.62 GAA and a .921 SV%.

The Winkler Flyers would like to welcome Josh and his family to the Flyers organization and look forward to seeing him in an Orange and Black uniform.
