The Winkler Flyers are pleased to announce the signing of 17 year old winger Eric Fawkes (01) for the 2018-2019 season. The 6’3”, 185lbs forward from Winnipeg was eighth in the entire Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League last season with 74 points (37 Goals – 37 Assists) in 47 games played with the Winnipeg Wild.
“Eric is a big body winger with a great touch around the net,” said Flyers General Manager Ken Pearson.
“We are excited to have him choose to play in Winkler and further develop as a player and person,” added Pearson.
In two seasons with the Wild, Fawkes recorded 115 points (47 Goals – 68 Assists) in 87 regular season games.
The Flyers would like to officially welcome Eric and his family to the Flyers organization and look forward to seeing him on the ice this fall.
