The Winkler Flyers will kick off the 2017-18 Manitoba Junior Hockey League Regular Season schedule with a home and home series against the Neepawa Natives starting Friday, September 22nd. The Flyers will begin their 60 game regular season on the road, but will play eight of their first ten games at home.

As the Orange and Black embark of their 38th season in the MJHL, the club is anticipating another strong season after making it to the league semi-finals the past two seasons. As in the past, the Flyers schedule will consist of 60 regular season games, 29 at home and 29 on the road, with two games (1 home and 1 away) taking place at the Manitoba Junior Hockey League Showcase in Winnipeg (December 11-13).
SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Petro Canada Black Friday promotion will continue for a second season. During the 2016-2017 season, the Flyers wore their black jerseys during every Friday home game. The details for the new and improved Petro Canada Black Friday will be announced in the weeks leading up to the season.
- The Flyers have partnered with Mr. Mike’s Steakhouse on a pre-game Happy Hour and post-game promotion on all Winkler Flyers home game days.
- Flyers Parent/Billet Weekend will take place November 17th and 18th when the Flyers host the Steinbach Pistons and Virden Oil Capitals.
- The Flyers Skills Competition and Skate with the Flyers will take place December 10th from 2-4:30pm
- The Team Awards presentation will go March 2nd during an on ice ceremony prior to the Flyers regular season finale against Steinbach.
- The Flyers Hall of Fame Banquet will take place March 3rd (details to follow)
