The Winkler Flyers are pleased to announce the signing of 17 year old forward Josh Kagan (00) for the upcoming season. The Winnipeg native suited up for the Rink Hockey Academy Nationals Midget Prep Team last season, wracking up 38 points (12 Goals – 26 Assists) and 78 penalty minutes in 35 regular season games played.
The 5’11”, 170lbs left handed shooting forward also accounted for seven points in five playoff games. Prior to suiting up for one of the premiere hockey academies in the country last season, Kagan played for the Omaha AAA U16 Lancers (NAPHL) during the 2016-17 season.
“Josh is a skilled forward who plays at a high pace,” said Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Ken Pearson.
“He will be looked at to add scoring depth to our forward group this season,” added Pearson.
The Flyers would like to officially welcome Josh and his family to the Flyers organization and look forward to seeing him in an Orange and Black uniform this fall.
