The Winkler Flyers are excited to share that defenceman Isaac Devau has committed to the NCAA Division IIIUniversity of Wisconsin-Superior men’s hockey program.
“Words can’t describe how thankful I am for everyone in the Flyers community. I had the best two years of hockey I could have. The boys, the billets, and all the amazing people that come to our games — Winkler is one of the most welcoming communities I’ve ever been a part of. I’m really excited for my next chapter, and I couldn’t have done it without all the support that the staff and community gave to me. I will be forever thankful! #Bleedorange,” said Deveau.
“We are really proud of Isaac and excited for him as he takes this next step with Wisconsin-Superior. He is one of those players you always have to be aware of — he plays hard, plays physical, and competes with an edge. He consistently stands up for his teammates and sacrifices his body. He is a smooth-skating defenceman with a skillset that allows him to evade pressure to make his first pass or drive transition. More than anything, he is a great teammate and just a really good man. We are looking forward to seeing what he does at the next level,” said General Manager and Head Coach Matt Melo.
Congratulations to Isaac on this well-deserved opportunity. The entire Flyers organization is proud of what he’s accomplished in Winkler and can’t wait to follow his journey at Wisconsin-Superior!
