FLYERS IMPRESSED WITH TALENT AS SPRING CAMP CLOSES

The Winkler Flyers hosted a very successful Time Out Sports – Winkler Flyers Spring Camp this past weekend where many good young hockey players tried to earn an invite to Flyers Main Camp in August or to show why they should be selected in the upcoming MJHL Bantam Draft.

Nearly 100 players were divided into six teams and played in a series of scrimmage games and were put through their paces during some high tempo practices.

“We were really impressed with how some of our young prospects are progressing and the talent that is available among the draft eligible guys.” Said Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Ken Pearson.

“It’s great to see the younger guys on our list continue to improve, and some of them will have a great chance to crack the roster in the next year or two,” added Pearson.

Around 25-30 of the players at Time Out Sports – Winkler Flyers Spring Camp will be invited to Main Camp at the end of August.

The Winkler Flyers would like to thank everyone for attending the camp and looking forward to seeing them again in the future. The Flyers would also like to thank Time Out Sports Excellence in Winkler for their support throughout the weekend.
