The Winkler Flyers are pleased to announce the signings of two more players for the 2019-2020 season. The Orange and Black have inked defenseman Kyle Lamoureux (02) and goaltender Dylan Meilun (01), two very talented young players for the upcoming season.
“We are very excited to be able to add two players of this calibre,” said Flyers General Manager Jeff Jeanson.
“Both Kyle and Dylan are going to be important pieces for our club moving forward,” added Jeanson.
Kyle Lamoureux is a 5’10”, 152lbs defenseman from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a smooth skating, puck moving defenseman who is able to jump in on the rush and contribute on the power-play and penalty-kill. He recorded 25 points (4 Goals – 21 Assists) in 33 games played with the R.H.A. Nationals Prep team last season and added four assists in four games with the R.H.A Nationals 18U team. The 17 year old also suited up for two games with the Flyers in 2019-2020.
Dylan Meilun is a 6’4”, 175lbs goaltender from Morden, Manitoba and played last season with the Pembina Valley Hawks (Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League). He had a 13-12-1 record last season with a 3.39 GAA and a .914 save percentage. Meilun is a big, local goaltender who will certainly add some depth to the Flyers crease. Dylan also suited up for the Flyers in a number of games last season.
The Flyers would like to officially welcome Kyle, Dylan and their families to the Flyers organization and look forward to seeing them in Orange and Black uniforms in the fall.
