The Winkler Flyers are excited to announce Winkler native, Eric Fehr as Director of Player Development. Fresh off a 17 year professional playing career, the Calder Cup, Spengler Cup and Stanley Cup Champion brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Flyers players and prospects.
“To add a man and friend like Eric to our program will prove invaluable for our players and prospects development. His proven character, wide array of education through the many coaches he’s had as well as playing experience in different roles will prove beneficial to each player’s unique developmental phase and situation. We are fortunate and thrilled to have Eric join our team.” noted General Manager and Head Coach Justin Falk.
Through the various developmental opportunities like video review, skill development and performance discussion, Fehr will aid in the on ice and off ice development of Flyers players and prospects.
Fehr had this to say about his recent hire. “It excites me to move back home to Winkler and have the opportunity to assist in the development of the Winkler Flyers as players and young men as they pursue a career in the MJHL and beyond.”
