FLYERS SEND GOERTZEN AND BARBEAU TO NEEPAWA – OCTOBER 1

The Winkler Flyers have traded 19 year old defenseman Noah Goertzen (00) and 20 year old forward Tanner Barbeau (99) to the Neepawa Natives in exchange for future considerations. Goertzen recorded five points in 30 games played last season with the Flyers and had one assist in two games this season. Barbeau got into one game for the Orange and Black this year after playing the season prior with OCN.

“These are two great young men and it’s tough to see them go, but this move with give both Noah and Tanner a chance to play and we wish them nothing but success in Neepawa,” said Flyers General Manager Jeff Jeanson.

The Flyers will play the natives Tuesday afternoon at the MJHL Showcase in Winnipeg. Puck drop at the Seven Oaks Arena is 2pm. You can catch the broadcast live on Country 88 and online at www.pembinavalleyonline.com.

The Flyers would like to officially thank Noah and Tanner for their services and wish them all the best with the Natives.
