FLYERS SIGN TWO MORE FORWARDS AS SEASON DRAWS CLOSER

The Flyers have signed forwards Kayden Jarvis (95) and Josh Brunton (96) for the upcoming season, bringing the total number of signed players to seven. The announcement comes just over two months before training camp opens on August 27th.

Kayden Jarvis played last season with the St. Pauls Crusaders of the Winnipeg High School Hockey League. The Winnipeg native was named the top high school player in the province with 37 points (13 goals – 24 assists) in 22 games played last season. The Crusaders captain also recorded nine points in six playoff games as St. Pauls went on to win the Winnipeg and provincial championships. He stands 5’11” and weighs 175lbs.

Josh Brunton was the third leading scorer for the Kenora Thistles of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League last season. The Dryden, Ontario native had 29 points (14 goals – 15 assists) in 37 regular season games played. The 5’11”, 185lbs forward also recorded 76 penalty minutes last year.

“We’ve added two young guys that will add depth to our forwards and provide some good character.” Said Flyers Head Coach and General Manager Ken Pearson.

The Flyers would like to welcome Kayden, Josh and their families to the Winkler Flyers organization and look forward to seeing them on the ice in August.
