Flyers Win Spirited Affair

The Flyers and Neepawa met for the fourth consecutive time with Winkler looking to bounce back from a 4-2 loss the previous night.

Neepawa carried the play early but Winkler managed to kill off two early penalties and skated to 0-0 tie after the first period.

Intensity and scoring increased in the second with both teams putting two goals on the board.

Tanner Andrew and Kyle Lamoureux the goal scorers for Winkler, while for Neepawa it was Gudnason and then Clyne tied it up near the midway point of the game.

In the third Winkler jumped out to a 3-2 lead but Neepawa answered in 17 seconds on a nice play by Rylan Gudnason.

The game remained tied through regulation where it took a late goal by Jayden McCarthy to win the game in overtime.

Reid Dyck made 40 saves in a winning effort for the Flyers.
