The Flyers six game Manitoba Junior Hockey League preseason schedule will begin on Tuesday, September 5th at home against the Winnipeg Blues. The Orange and Black will play three games at home and three on the road, which will include the second annual Goose Cup against the Thief River Falls Norskies of the SIJHL.

After starting their 2017 Exhibition schedule against the Blues, the Flyers will host the Norskies on September 8th. The two teams will meet again on September 9th in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. Last season, the Flyers and the Norskies met for the first time in a two game, inter-league matchup with the winner taking home the Goose Cup Trophy. The Flyers won the trophy last season with a two game combined goal total of 15-1.
Winkler will then travel to Winnipeg on September 12th and will conclude their exhibition season with a home and home against the Neepawa Natives on the 15th and 16th of September. The 2017-2018 regular season will begin on Friday, September 22nd in Neepawa.
