Important Information for 2020/21 VIP Pass Holders

With the recent cancellation of the 2020-21 MJHL Season, the Winkler Flyers Organization would like to thank our fans and sponsors that supported us during a season which was unfortunately cut short. We thank you not only for your support, but your patience in these uncertain times as we fought hard to return to the ice this season. Without our partners in the community, junior hockey in Winkler would not be possible.

After much discussion, the Flyers’ Board of Directors has decided to offer the following options to those who purchased VIP Passes for the 2020-21 season.

Option 1: Donation

This option offers the opportunity for you to donate your 2020/21 VIP Pass back to the team. It is no surprise that a missed season is a nearly insurmountable financial hurdle for a Junior ‘A’ organization. Donation of VIP Passes and season’s tickets is a common option being utilized by other organizations in the MJHL as well as the CJHL at large. Retaining those funds from VIP Pass holders would be an incredible gesture of support and would go a long ways toward ensuring that the Winkler Flyers can prepare for a return to the ice next season while remaining viable for many more years to come.

Option 2: Credit for 21/22

VIP Pass holders can choose to receive a credit towards their VIP Pass for the 2021-22 season. Since 20% of home games were played last season, the credit would amount to 80% of the dollar amount paid going to towards next year’s VIP Pass. (eg. If you purchased a $275 VIP Pass, you would have a credit of $220 to apply to your 2021-22 VIP Pass)

In order to assist with planning for the 2021-22 hockey season, we are asking that you notify us by April 15th. Use the online form below to choose Option 1 or 2.

We greatly appreciate the community’s understanding of how we have chosen to handle a difficult situation in a difficult time. We cannot wait to see all of our amazing fans in the arena this fall!
