MARASCHIELLO TAKES TALENTS TO SOUTHERN ONTARIO

Goaltender Mitch Maraschiello has accepted a scholarship to York University (CIS) for the 2014-2015 season. The Buffalo, New York native was picked up by the Flyers in October of 2013 and played a total of five years in Junior “A” hockey.

Maraschiello had a 6-16-2 record with the Flyers, finishing the season with a 3.59 goals against average and a .895 save percentage. Maraschiello was a strong asset for a club with a young defense corps and kept the team in the game.

The York University Lions play in the West Division of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS), which is the top collegiate hockey program in Canada. They are based out of Toronto, Ontario.

The Flyers would like to wish Mitch all the best at York and congratulate him on his decision to continue his hockey career and education with the Lions.
