The Winkler Flyers will begin their eight game preseason schedule on Tuesday, September 2nd in Winnipeg. The club unveiled their exhibition schedule today. The Flyers will play eight games in a span of 11 days as they prepare for the start of the regular season on September 19th.
“The pre-season is a critical time of the year for our teams,” MJHL Commissioner Kim Davis said today. “Teams are carefully evaluating their talent, both long-term prospects and those players who could potentially be in the line-up for opening night.”
After cutting down their roster following the annual Main Camp closing Intrasquad game on Saturday, August 30th, the Flyers will travel to the MTS Iceplex in Winnipeg to start the official preseason schedule against the Blues on Tuesday, September 2nd.
Of the eight exhibition games, two will be against the Blues, with the other six coming against Steinbach, Neepawa and Selkirk.
