RYLAN PRICE NAMED ASSISTANT COACH FOR THE ORANGE AND BLACK – AUGUST 15

The Winkler Flyers are pleased to announce that Rylan Price has agreed to take over the role of Assistant Coach this season for the Orange and Black. Price, who was most recently the Head Coach for the Pembina Valley Hawks of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League, replaces Steve Mullin who was promoted to Head Coach last week.

“I’m extremely proud and excited to become a Winkler Flyer,” said Price.

Price has been coaching at various levels since 2006 including stints with Morden Collegiate and the GVC Zodiacs High School teams. He has coached five of the last six years with the Pembina Valley Hawks including their Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League Championship season in 2013-2014.

“Rylan has done an exceptional job with the Hawks program over the past number of years and I look forward to him bringing his expertise to the Flyer bench,” said Flyers Head Coach Steve Mullin.

His level of knowledge with the video training tools and other technical parts of the game will also be a real asset to the organization.

“We are excited to add Rylan to our staff as we are very familiar with him and we feel he will fit in very well with Steve behind the bench,” added Flyers General Manager Ken Pearson.

The Flyers would like to officially welcome Rylan to the Winkler Flyers’ Family.
