UGLEM EARNS SCHOLARSHIP TO IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY

Graduating defenseman Jacob Uglem (93) will be joining the Iowa State Cyclones (ACHA – NCAA Div III) this fall as he begins the next chapter of his hockey career. The Moorhead, Minnesota native had seven points in 55 games played over two seasons in Winkler.

Uglem, who was known more for his defensive play, played just under two seasons as a Flyer. In 55 regular season games played, the graduating 20 year old had seven points (2 goals – 5 assists) and four penalty minutes. He also served as one of the Flyers Assistant Captains this past season.

Uglem will be majoring in Architecture at Iowa State University. The Flyers family would like to congratulate Jacob on his decision to continue his hockey career and further his education at Iowa State.

Former Flyers who have also attended Iowa State are David Kurbatsky, Peter Alexander, Jake Rombach and James Buttermore.
