Winkler Flyers announce Shane Neufeld as new Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations

The Winkler Flyers are excited to announce the hiring of Shane Neufeld as the team’s new full-time Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations.

Neufeld joins the Flyers organization after a lifetime of bleeding Orange and Black.  Shane’s dad Ron was a Board Member for many years, while his brother Maurice played 3 seasons for the Flyers, hoisting back to back Championships in 90-91, 91-92.

General Manager/Head Coach Justin Falk had this to say about the hiring, “With Shane having both prior experience in the marketing field throughout the Pembina Valley and an understanding of the Flyers community and corporate relations we feel he is a perfect fit to step in and carry on the positive momentum that’s been built over the last couple years.  Growing up around the rink with his family’s prior involvement in the club had him eager for the opportunity ahead.  He is stepping into this role with excitement and sees the potential and benefits for all parties involved with the Junior hockey program in Winkler.  Through this we feel confident our corporate community, fans and all others involved will enjoy their time with Shane and have a positive experience both with advertising and game day as we move into ICON arena and what will be a unique exciting season ahead!”

Shane will be responsible for the development, execution, and continued strategic development of the Flyers business interests involving all marketing, promotion and corporate partnerships throughout the Pembina Valley.  As well as leading a passionate, dedicated Game Day Operations team to incorporate the ever growing dynamics and potential for entertainment for the Flyers fanbase.

Shane commented about joining the Orange and Black, “I am both honoured and excited to join the Winkler Flyers as Director of Marketing and Game Day Operations.  I have some big shoes to fill, but I’m eager to continue to build on a championship year that has stemmed from both a culture and attitude that the entire organization has worked hard to cultivate and grow.  Go Flyers Go!”

Welcome to the team Shane and family!
