Coming into Saturday night the Flyers were riding a 6 game win streak and looked to stay hot
against the Dauphin Kings.

Rhylan Baxter kicked the scoring off with a nice shot on the rush, giving Winkler the lead with
just over 5 minutes left in the 1st period. Dauphin managed to tie things up at the 17:06 mark,
but Niklas Gudmundson managed to regain the lead for the home team heading into the 2nd
frame with his 1st of the game.
In the second period, the Flyers put their special teams on display, netting 2 goals on the PP.
Ryley Fequet scored his 11th goal of the season on the man advantage at 4:35 as the Flyers
capitalized on some nice passing in the offensive zone. Owen Wallace collected one of his 3
assists in the contest as he teed up Niklas Gudmundson for a beautiful one timer, making it 4-1
Flyers after 40 minutes.
The 3rd period saw Charlie Weaver score his 5th goal of the season under 2 minutes in to the
final frame, adding some insurance and another assist for Niklas Gudmundson, giving him 4
points on the night. (2G-2A). The Kings Ethan Stewart managed to add a goal near the end of
the period but the Flyers sealed the deal for their 7th straight victory in front of a happy home
town crowd.
Other notes in the game, Owen Wallace put up 3 helpers giving him 27 on the year. Liam Ernst
remains undefeated in his return to the orange & black stopping 24 of 26 shots.
The Flyers head to Steinbach next Friday (Jan 24th) to take on the Pistons, and host the
Winnipeg Blues at the Meridian Exhibition Center on Saturday January 25th
