The Winkler Flyers rallied at home against Steinbach on Saturday night, securing a 3-1 victory with a strong team effort.
Brody Beauchemin tied the game early in the second period with a power-play goal, assisted by Brady Craik and Will Lyons. Minutes later, Craik put the Flyers ahead with another power-play tally, set up by Isaiah Peters and Connor Jensen.
In the final frame, Winkler held off Steinbach’s push, with Liam Ernst making 29 saves. Beauchemin sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final minute, assisted by Blake Matheson and Nicholas McKee.
Winkler went 2-for-3 on the power play and kept Steinbach scoreless on five chances, earning a hard-fought home victory.
