The Flyers looked to end their 6 game home stand on a high note as the Wolverines came to town Saturday Night.

The first period was a back and forth affair as both teams looked to establish an edge. After the Flyers found themselves in some penalty trouble late in the frame, the Wolverines pounced on an opportunity and grabbed the lead 1-0. Shots were 12-11 in favour of the home squad heading into the intermission.
Waywayseecappo capitalized on the man advantage once again early on in the second period, making it 2-0, but the Flyers found a way to tie things up at 2-2 on goals from Jack Swaenepoel and Kade Stringer. Winkler outshot the Wolverines 15-12 in the frame and prepared to ride the momentum into the final 20 minutes.
The Wolverines turned the tables on the Flyers in the third and once again, making the Flyers pay for multiple trips to the penalty box, scoring on the power play and giving them the lead at 3-2. Wayway added an empty netter and skated away with a 4-2 win.

Next up: The Flyers travel to Virden to take on the Oil Capitals on Monday.
