The Flyers hoped to keep their winning ways on track as they traveled to Winnipeg for an evening match up against the Blues.

Winkler carried the pace as they fired 20 shots on goal in the first but only managed 1 goal from Will Lyons on the PP. The Flyers skated into the first intermission up 1-0 and held hopes of solving the Winnipeg net-minder as the game went on.
The second frame saw the Blues battle back and even the contest up at 1-1. Winkler had a few chances but ultimately came up empty in the frame and had to settle with a tie heading into the third period.
The Flyers picked up their attack a little more in the 3rd but couldn’t find a way to the back of the net. Ultimately, the Blues capitalized on one of their chances and managed to grab a win over the Flyers (2-1).

Winkler is now tied for 3rd in the MGEU east and will take on two of the leagues best teams this coming weekend at the NEW Centennial Arena. Friday vs the Steinbach Pistons and Saturday night vs the Niverville Nighthawks.
