The Winkler Flyers have acquired 19 year old forward Marcel Berube (99) from the Steinbach Pistons in exchange for 18 year old forward Trent Halfdanson (00). Flyers General Manager Ken Pearson says Berube will make the Flyers harder to play against down the left side and will inject some enthusiasm into the lineup.
In 26 games played with the Pistons this season, the 6’1”, 210lbs Left Winger from London, Ontario recorded nine points (3 Goals – 6 Assists) and 31 penalty minutes.
In 66 total games played in Winkler over the past two seasons, Halfdanson recorded 11 points (4 Goals and 7 Assists) and 112 penalty minutes.
The Flyers would like to welcome Marcel and his family to the Flyers organization and would like to thank Trent and his family for everything over the past season and a half and wish him nothing but the best with the Pistons.
