Dave Neubuhr

Position on board – Director

Board member since 2021

Dave is a Manitoba boy at heart.  Being born and raised in Flin Flon, MB, Dave grew up in the shadow of a smokestack and the Whitney Forum; home of the SJHL Flin Flon Bombers and hockey names like Bobby Clarke and Reggie Leach. The defensive defenceman lived and breathed hockey, advancing not only through divisions but from bunk to bunk (ODR) around the city to play pick up hockey when he wasn’t on the ice with his team. Dave has a love for music – rock n’ roll and classic country, classic cars and a variety of other sports including fast pitch, baseball, football and bandy, but they only fill the time between the first skate hitting the ice and the last playoff game of the season (NHL, WHL & CJHL – ask him, he likely has the current stats).
Dave and his spouse April have resided in Winkler since 2010.  Dave spends his days as the Operations Manager for the Specialized Division of Payne Transportation in Winkler. Together Dave and April have volunteered for the MJHL Winkler Flyers for 9 years and the along with their pup, Skye; have been billet parents for Winkler Flyer Players for the last 5 seasons.
Dave is looking forward to collaborating with the newly restructured Winkler Flyer board in continuing to bring exciting hometown hockey to Winkler and surrounding area.
One of Dave’s favourite things about the Winkler Flyers is being able to walk through the arena doors and lose himself for 2-3 hours in the corner battles and competition on the ice. “I get to be a kid again, if only in my own mind; but what a fantastic time it is!”

Kevin Braun

Position on board – Director

Board member since 2021

Kevin was born and raised in Winkler, and has played in many bush league hockey games, where he claims he was best at filling a spot on the ice to provide rest for the “all stars.” Currently Kevin is the President at Centennial Supply in Winkler. When he’s not supplying our community with the tools and equipment, they need he loves to take his family camping and fishing on the lake and is involved in motorsport events such as drag racing.
