During the month of February, the Winkler Flyers traded their sticks for storybooks, visiting local schools to share their love of reading with students. Players stopped by Pine Ridge Elementary, Winkler Elementary, Emerado Centennial School, Border Valley Elementary, and Prairie Crossroads School, taking time to read with kids, answer questions, and talk about the importance of reading.
These visits were a great way for the Flyers to connect with young fans beyond the rink, encouraging them to enjoy reading while making some special memories together. A big thank you to all the schools for welcoming the team, and a thank you to our “In the Community” sponsor, Scoular!
