The Winkler Flyers are pleased to announce the acquisition of G Connor Slipp (96) from the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL) for future considerations. The 19 year old netminder stands 6’3” and weighs 190lbs and had some pretty impressive numbers with the Bombers during the 2014-2015 season.
The pride of Calgary, Alberta sported a .932 save percentage and 2.05 goals against average with Flin Flon last season. He is expected to join the Flyers up north when they begin their three game road trip in OCN on Thursday night.
The Flyers would like to welcome Connor and his family to the Flyers organization.
NOTE: Flyers G Ryan Larochelle (96) suffered an injury in practice earlier this week and is expected to be out of the lineup for several weeks. The Edmonton, Alberta native has a 5-2-1 record with the Flyers this season while sporting 2.24 goals against average and a .927 save percentage.
