The Winkler Flyers have completed a trade with the Weyburn Red Wings of the SJHL. In exchange for D Nolan Henderson (’03) the Flyers have acquired LW Troy Hamilton (’01) and D Nick Dobson (’01). We thank Nolan for his efforts and contribution to the Flyers and City of Winkler and wish him the best. Welcome to the Flyers Troy and Nick!
Hailing from Cochrane Alberta, Nick Dobson has played 16 games this year with the Red Wings, racking up 1 goal and 10 assists while amassing 100 penalty minutes.
Troy Hamilton, from Brandon Manitoba, started the season with the Waywayeecappo Wolverines before being dealt to Weyburn Red Wings later in the season. A combined 18 goals in 29 games, Hamilton will bring a veteran presence and scoring touch to the front end.
