The Winkler Flyers are a part of a three team trade that will see Defenseman Will Brophy (’04) join the club. The Spruce Grove Saints (AJHL) receive Forward Dylan Ruptash (’04) and the Yorkton Terriers (SJHL) receive PDF’s from Winkler and Spruce Grove.
The 6’5 Defenseman Brophy played 25 games for the Saints in 2023-24 scoring a goal and two assists.
Flyers GM & Head Coach Justin Falk and the hockey operations staff are thrilled to have Brophy in the organization “Will is a long ranged defenseman offensive skillset to transport pucks. His ability to take time and space away defending will complement our back end going into the second half.”
