Flyers Sign Goaltender Aidan Comeau to Letter of Intent

The Winkler Flyers are excited to announce that the club has signed another player to a letter of intent. The club has signed goaltender Aidan Comeau(2004) from Newport Beach, California.

Comeau spent the 2021-22 season playing for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks in the 18U AAA league in the USA. In 23 games played he recorded a .920 save percentage and 2.60 goals against average. He also played 7 games for the Anaheim Jr. Ducks in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League where he put up a .901 save percentage and 2.84 goals against average.

“It feels great. It sounds like an amazing organization and city and I’m excited to play there.” Said Comeau about signing his letter of intent with the Flyers.

GM and Head Coach Justin Falk is excited to have Comeau join the Flyers. "Aidan is coming off a successful season with his hometown Anaheim Jr. Ducks. Through the conversations with Aidan, his coaching staff and his parents, it was clear Aidan's passion for the game and competing. We look forward to Aidan developing his game further at the Junior A hockey level."

“I chose the Flyers because my coach this year helped influence me and saw Winkler as a good fit for me and they had a lot of success as a team last year.” Comeau explained why he chose the Flyers. “I’m excited to learn from former NHLers. They obviously have a lot of experience in the sport and know what it takes to get to the next level.”

The Winkler Flyers want to welcome Aidan and his family to the organization.
