Pre Game Report

Game Recap

The Flyers and Terriers spent the first period finding their pace along with multiple trips to the penalty box for both sides. Logan Danis was a stand out early in the game for the Flyers, showing his speed but the first period ended in a 0-0 draw.

Winkler opened the scoring on the power play at 4:20 into the 2nd frame with some excellent passing. Daniel Isaak put the puck in off of a nice feed from Josh Beauchemin. Kian Calder tied things up later in the period for the Terriers, but less than a minute later it was the captain Jayden McCarthy giving the lead back to the Flyers.

Portage came out hard at the start of the 3rd period and tied things up on a nice play down the wing by Austin Peters. Shortly afterwards Riley Borody put the Terriers ahead with an unassisted marker. Trent Penner managed to tie things up from the doorstep after he squeezed one by goaltender Jayden Catellier. With less than 5 minutes left to play the Flyers went to work on the man advantage once again and Nicholas McKee scored a nice goal which saw both Justin Svenson and Jayden McCarthy assisting on the play.

Portage outshot the Flyers 32-30 in the game which saw Dylan Meilun pick up his 3rd win on the season.
