FLYERS WELCOME GINO LUCIA BACK TO THE FOLD – DECEMBER 7

The Winkler Flyers are thrilled to announce the signing of 20 year old forward Gino Lucia (98). The St. Cloud, Minnesota native played the past season and a half in the North American Hockey League after starting his junior career right here in Winkler during the 2016-2017 season.

“Gino’s return to the Flyers will add experience and some much needed offense to our lineup,” said Flyers General Manager Ken Pearson.

“His familiarity with our staff and the organization should make his transition back to Winkler very smooth.”

The smooth skating, high energy forward recorded 41 points (16 Goals – 25 Assists) in 50 regular season games played in Winkler as a rookie, back in 2016-2017. He then added four points (2 Goals – 2 Assists) in the playoffs that season.

In 71 total regular season games with the Minnesota Wilderness (NAHL), the 5’11”, 180lbs winger wracked up 52 points (22 Goals – 30 Assists) before being traded to the Lone Star Brahmas this past month.

The Flyers would like to officially welcome Gino and his family back into the Flyers organization and look forward to seeing him in an Orange and Black uniform very soon.
