Former Winkler Flyer Captain Trent Sambrook was named to the Atlantic Hockey Association 2023-24 All Rookie Team.
Sambrook captained the Flyers in 2022-23 where he scored 11 goals and 41 assists, and was named the leagues top defenseman.
In his rookie campaign with the Mercyhurst Lakers in 2023-24 he put up 3 goals, 10 assists and blocked 32 shots in 28 games played.
Sambrook had three multi-point games during the season, including a three-point game against Sacred Heart where he scored twice and dished out an assist.
