ELIAS WOODWORK – WINKLER FLYERS PROSPECT WATCH – ZACHARY NICOLAS

ZACHARY NICOLAS (04) | FORWARD | WINNIPEG WILD (MANITOBA U18 AAA)

HOMETOWN: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Height: 6’2” | Weight: 173lbs |

SCOUTS COMMENTS:

Zach is a rangy, highly skilled forward who’s game has taken another step since we selected him in this past Bantam Draft (Round 3 – 31st Overall). He’s committed to playing the right way in all three zones and projects to be a strong, two way forward at the Junior A level. We are very pleased with his current progress and see a bright future for Zach. Zach has recorded 20 points (10 Goals – 10 Assists) in his first 21 games of the season.

“Zach is a strong skater with a good shot and quick release. He goes to the net hard and has a high skill set but also plays in the traffic areas of the ice. Zach has shown a willingness to learn all aspects of the game and he has nothing but upside to his game. As he continues to grow and develop he will definitely be a player to watch” – Winnipeg Wild Head Coach Paul Krueger.

The Elias Woodwork – Winkler Flyers Prospect Watch will be posted each week and will feature one up and coming prospect in the Flyers system. The Flyers wish the best of luck to Zachary and the rest of the Wild this season.
