With the 2014-2015 hockey season nearly upon us, the Winkler Flyers are looking for hard-working and passionate volunteers to join us! Volunteers are an integral part of the current and future success of the club and we are now accepting applications.
This season, all of our volunteers will be expertly trained for every position and will be given the opportunity to use their talents for a variety of different volunteer tasks. Positions include event security, helping with game day promotions, selling 50/50 tickets, public address announcers, running the game clock, doing stats and being “Zoomer” the mascot among many others. Most importantly, you will be assisting the Winkler Flyers on the front lines, contributing to the fan experience during the game.
The Winkler Flyers are working hard to improve our volunteer experience for the upcoming season, new this season for Winkler Flyers volunteers is our Incentives Program. All of our new volunteers can look forward to: free VIP season pass, top notch training, discounts at the Flyers store, and so much more! Each volunteer will be required to participate in 15 of our 29 games this season, leaving plenty of time during the season for you to cheer on the Flyers in the stands as well. There will also be a Volunteer Appreciation meal held during the season.
