Flyers Sign Tegan Neuman To Letter Of Intent

The Winkler Flyers are excited to announce that the club has signed Tegan Neuman (2004) from Okotoks, Alberta to a letter of intent to play with the club in the 2022-23 season.

Neuman split the 2021-22 season with the Kelowna Chiefs and Osoyoos Coyotes in the KIJHL where he scored 16 goals and 25 assists for 41 points in 39 games played. An impressive point total for an ’04 player in junior hockey.
Neuman spoke on how it felt to sign a letter of intent with the Flyers “It feels really good, I’m just glad I was able to find such a high class organization like Winkler”

Head Coach and General Manager Justin Falk talked about the kind of player Neuman is “Tegan is coming off a successful season with the Kelowna Chiefs and Osoyoos Coyotes of the KIJHL. Tegan’s offensive growth and success this past season came from his hockey intelligence and playing the game the right way, getting to the paint and not being denied against Junior aged defensemen. We are excited to see Tegan’s progression throughout summer as he understands the importance of this off-season and the work that needs to be done for his transition to Junior A in the MJHL.”

“I had the chance to speak with Justin a couple times, and I really like what he had to say about the program. I really like the facilities, and it seems like a good place to develop” Neuman mentioned when asked why he chose to sign with the Flyers “Having the opportunity to play under two NHL players is great, they’ve been through it and know what it takes.”

“I’m a skilled player that see’s the game well. I can bury on my chances and set up my teammates. I’m a gritty player and I don’t shy away from the rough stuff” Neuman talked about what kind of player he is “I hope I can bring a good work ethic. I just want to help the team win”

The Winkler Flyers want to send a warm welcome to Tegan and his family! Welcome to the Orange and Black organization.
